I was tagged ages ago and just finally got around to tellng you all 7 random things about my kids!
Madelyn Kate
1. She most definately is a girl with a girl attitude. When she gets hurt, she milks it for all it is worth and tells you all kinds of sob stories about it. She can be super happy one minute and the next she turns into some serious diva if she doesn't get her way. I am dreading when she is a teenager!
2. She has the cutest, craziest curly hair. We are so in love with it and so happy that she is a curly girl. Both Cam and I have naturally curly hair and I always wanted a girl with curls and she sure has got them. I am sure she will hate it when she is older, like me.
3. She loves to dance. She can hear the faintest sound of music and she starts bopping her head, bouncing her knees, and spinning around in circles. It is so cute and when she is in the car she really rocks out! This girl has got some rythym!
4. Maddie loves her blanket. Her Grammy Marion made it for her when she was a baby and she is just now becoming super attached to it. She is often found dragging it around the house and it is really big and heavy and she lugs it around anyway. Whenever she goes to sleep, she loves to have us lay the blanket all over her from head to toe and then she pokes her head out.. it is soo cute.
5. We are starting to teach her some sign language and she is pretty good at milk, eat, more, and book. Sometimes she just mixes them all up, but at least we know that she wants something instead of just grunting for it.
6. She is obsessed with dogs. She loves her Grammy's dog, Chewy and whenever we pull up to Grammy's house she just starts giving kisses and calling the dog. She walks around the house calling for Chewy and smacking kisses. No matter the size of the dog, she always wants to give it kisses and loves.
7. She is so cute when she blows us kisses and waves to us. She loves to sing 'itsy-bitsy spider' and do the actions and peek-a-boo. She can say mama, dada, uh-oh, and night, night, and dog. She roars like a lion when we ask her what it says and tells us also what the duck and cow say. WE think she is the cutest ever.. don't you agree??
TAGGART
1. He loves his dad like no other. He wants to be just like him and always doing whatever Cam is doing. Like fixing or washing his bike, mowing the lawn, taking a shower- whatever it is, he wants to be doing the same thing. It is pretty cute since they look a lot alike too, but not so cute when he cries that he wants his dad during the day when he is at work. Not so fun then!
2. He seriously has the smallest legs and ZERO bum! You can tell in this picture that his tooshy is hanging out. He often takes his pants off since they are already falling off! I bet Maddie's bum is bigger than his by far (but she does kinda have a ghetto booty!) The shorts he is wearing in this picture are size 2T! Maybe one day he will grow a butt, in the meantime thank heavens for adjustable waists and belts!
3. He has a new obsession with bugs, spiders, lizards or anything of this nature. Lately he has been catching grasshoppers and trying to keep them as pets. Last night he caught one and said to me , "Mom I love him, he is my best friend." Seriously a grasshopper??? YUCK! He loves to listen to the crickets chirpping at night and often sleeps with a bucket covered with saran wrap and a bug in it by his bed while he sleeps at night!
4. He is saying some of the funniest words and phrases lately. Like when he doesn't like something or doesn't want to do something he says, "I can't want to do this.." or "I can't like that." Whenever he wants to watch something on TV and I tell him it is time for bed he says "I want to watch for 2 minutes" while holding up 2 fingers. I guess one day I said this and now he uses it all the time, although we all know how 2 minutes ends up! When referring to yesterday or the other morning he calls it last day or last morning. He frequently uses the words 'member', 'but', and 'maybe'. We really think that everything that he says is too funny, but I just had to write down a few for remembrance.
5. He is such a boy and loves trucks, motorcycles, 4-wheelers, boats, airplanes, and any sport. I don't think he would even know what to do with a doll or barbie. We didn't really do anything, he is just this way. He could spend all day running around behind one of his trucks.
6. This boy hates haircuts with a passion. It really sucks because his hair grows so fast. We have clippers so Cam just does it at home, since I am sure no one out there would want to deal with it. We try to do it in the tub, with lots of candy and toys, but he always ends up screaming and getting hair in his suckers! Cam and I dread every hair cut!!!
7. He has a love/hate relationship with scary things or as he says it 'cary'. He always wants to get the scary looking movies at the video store and whenever he sees dark, small places he says that there are 'cary guys in there!' He never really gets super scared, almost just intrigued. It is pretty funny.

I love it! Seriously? Can they be more cuter? I love their fun pics. After reading about Tag...I truly believe that all boys are the same. I felt like I was reading a post about Bobby! Everything is tractor this or dump truck that. Really...sometimes I try to distract him during the day with other things because I am getting SOOO annoyed with it all! And I love how he says "two more minutes". Bobby does that too...except he says, "one more time" or "one more minute..please?' He has no idea what it means. I guess I need to watch what I say. And ditto on the dad thing. Bobby is obsessed, and now struggling with not playing with him everyday while Rob is gone for the summer. He is stuck with boring ol' mom. Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed reading...
These kiddos seriously are cute. We have been laughing about Tag's "best friend" all week. And that little Maddie is a riot. The dancing and curly hair are dang cute, but nothing tops the faces she was pulling when the camera was out!
So cute! Taggart says the cutest things I love it. I remember when we were in the basement the other week. He was like lets go upstairs, its cary!!!! And Maddie is starting to grow up at lightning speed, we need to see her soon!
Hmm .. I wonder where Maddie gets her dance moves? All I know is I've seen you break it down in 'da club so as far as I'm concerned ... mystery solved.
"I love him, he's my best friend"? Oh man, that is so ADORABLE!
Cute Cute......Luke is such a daddy's boy too. It's great when Mark is home, the most challenging is when Mark is coaching soccer and Luke is screaming across the field "I want my daddy"...and Maddie...her smile makes me smile.
LOVE the black and white pics! Andrew "can't like anything" too and it always cracks us up!
I love the picture of Maddie laying in her crib, she looks so cute! I guarantee that Daxton is going to be right there with Tag and his no butt, no leg look! Your right! Thank goodness for belts our our sons would be walking around with their pants around their ankles!
I like that tag. It's fun to get to know your kids. I love how they have their own personality in life and you can see it too.
Okay those Black and white photos are awesome!! I am glad that it took you a hundred years to do this tag, cause I still haven't done it, and now maybe I will feel inclined to get mine done!! I'm in love with Maddie, her hair, the cheeks, everything!! I'm so glad that she is all girl too, isn't it fun? The drama thing sometimes sends me over the edge, but I figure that's just part of the whole girl package.. The curly hair is awesome! I'm so glad that I have a curly head too, because it is so much easier to do. Tag and my girls need to hang out and catch bugs. We have gone to bed probably 10 times in the last month with a tupperware 'creature habitat' by each girl's bed...so funny. Bradey so wants a little boy someday, so he can have a mini-me following him around, Cam has got to love it. Thanks for sharing all of these fun things about your kiddos.. I loved it!
Ok. Carter is Tag. They say the same things. Carter also says last day and last morning. It makes sense. We say last night. Can't blame them. He loves cars and tractors too! I still think they look alike. How fun. Let's play sometime!
What a cute post...your kids are darling! And it must be common, because Kate said "last day" for the longest time. Jim always corrects her when she says stuff like that, but I tell him not to. I want to hear my kids mix up expressions and words as long as I can before they grow up and figure it out.
Tag wanting to be just like his dad is so sweet! But what should I do if Ezra wants to be just like his dad...reading Freakonomics in a club by the light of the DJ booth, or going to a beautiful beach but climbing up to some reclusive rock and covering your head with a towel to avoid the wind and continue to read Freakonomics. :) Yikes.
Great post!
Cute cute kids! It was fun to read about all about them and learn new thing. Maddie's hair is SO curly and darling!
