Look Who's Walking!

A couple days ago Maddie finally decided to take off! Over the last month or so, she has been so close to walking. She could take a few steps here and there and even several in between us, but she would always end up wanting to crawl instead. I have gotten really sick of how trashed her clothes got while she crawled and scooted, so I have been pretty ready for her to walk. So, on last Wednesday night she was walking between Taggart and me and she just kept turning around on her own and walking in a circle. The last few days she has just been crusing around getting her legs! She loves to walk and is so proud of herself. She just huffs and puffs and grins while she is walking. She looks so big now that she can walk and I wonder where my little baby has gone? She does look like the cutest little lady ever!

Bermuda Cruise

We have been home for about a week now and I am just barely getting to posting about our cruise because I have been sick all week. It has been a bummer being sick and not doing much- I feel like I have been gone forever! Anyway, we had sooo much fun. The cruise ship departed out of New York City, so we were able to spend a couple days in the city as well. Cam hadn't been to NYC since he came out to visit me 10 years ago while I was living in Westchester being a nanny. I have been back a couple times since then, but it had been 2 years since I last went. I love the city and it was so much fun to be there with my sister and Blair. We shopped, saw some sights, ate good food, and had a lot of fun for our little stint in the city. It felt like two vacations in one as we switched gears and got onto the cruise ship. We went with Kim and Blair and 2 of his sisters and their spouses and his parents and his brother and his friend. Blair's family is so much fun and we had a ball tagging along with them. I don't think we stopped laughing! We had a lot of fun watching Celia, Adrienne, and Nick performing in the Superstar kareoke nights. Trust me, you had to be there to see all of it.. it was hilarious! We rented scooters for the 4 days we were in Bermuda and had such a good time cruising around the island and discovering the beautiful beaches. The water is the most beautiful color and the sand is so fine and white. The weather could have been better, but we still got a little sun. Cam and I went scuba diving one day and dove through some cool tunnels and saw a ship wreck. It was raining when we got done and we had to drive through a huge rain storm on our scooter to get back on the ferry. It was crazy and we were drenched. It was so fun to be able to spend some time together without our wonderful kiddies and thanks sooo much to Grammy and Grampy (Frank and Marion) for watching our kids. They did so good and hardly missed us. It makes me ready to take another vacation! Enjoy the pics!
