So.. Maddie has been eating solids for a couple months now and she does ok, but not as good as Tag did. She just doesn't love to open her mouth very wide and then she does this tongue thrust thing and spits stuff out! It is very frustrating when you are the one feeding her! She seems to get it all over her face and grabs the spoon, bowl, or anything she can get her hands on. One day I walked away for a minute and when I came back she had almost a whole roll of paper towels pulled out (she loves to eat paper?). Here are some pics from the lovely lunch time! What a cutie! Hopefully she will get better, in the meantime, we'll just live with pears, peas, squash, etc. all over everything!!

Mandy, she is adorable, even with food all over her face... what is it with chubby cheeks and your kids? They are to die for! I have so forgotten what it's like to have to feed a baby! I am in for a new world here soon..

Summer, I have gotten a few at Kid to Kid, I don't know if they have those in CA? Babyblingbows.com has some really cute bows (I have a couple from there) I also have a neighbor who makes whatever you want.. this is a little far from you too! I know bows can be a whole different world! I could go crazy! I am sure you understand with 2 girls! It gets expensive! Mandy
Yes, the bows were the first thing I noticed, not the messy face...what does that tell you? Man, she is so cute Mandy. But I hate the beginning phase of feeding--I can't tell you how many times I had to change my pants from flecks of sweet potatoes getting on them. Jim tries to refuse feeding the baby, because he literally gags doing it, but so do I!d But it's nice when they are able to eat, and are less dependent on you!
doncoSo Dad was so impressed by this entry. He said you are a pro and made sure it was ready for me to look at when I came home from work.He noticed you used a lot of pics that he had gotten the red eye out of and they are such cute pics of the kids. I especially love the one of Tag and Maddie outside sitting together. Sooo Sooo Cute! I just laugh at Tag in the pool (that face) and want to just play with Maddie again. So Dad thinks your a pro! He especially loved the slide show. He noticed alot of them were the ones he got the red eye out of.I really liked the one of Tag and Maddie sitting outside. Just to make you laugh I was having trouble with my user name- password so when the screen with my comment went blank I thought it was gone I didn't realize that it actually had been published. So that is why I did it twice just worded a little differently. Ya I'm a rookie at this for sure. Be patient everyone I'm not quitting just yet.
You all look so great, and your kids, honestly, they are so darn cute, awwww Caroline needs some cheeks!! We are waiting until we get home from Disneyland to start solids, but poor kid, reaches and grabs for every scrap of food she sees, she is sooo ready.

Gotta love that little crusty face after a feeding! What a little cherub! Treasure these moments--they don't last long enough (my baby girl will graduate this year). Give her squeezes for us.
