She may look like a sweet little Angel in this picture, but don't let her fool you! She can be quite a little devil at times. I don't know if I have just forgotten all the bad things Taggart did when he was two, or if Maddie is just crazier than he was! Here are just a few of the crazy, horrible things she has been doing lately...
The other day I walked in the room and she had dumped half of the brand new bottle of lotion on the bench and was finger painting with it. Good thing I got to her before it was ALL over the house!
This is when she decided to open a box of muffin mix, dump it all over the floor, and dance around with it. Notice the happy look on her face, like she was so proud of herself!
This was the same day.. she got into my mascara and put it on. This has happened several times since then, apparently she hasn't learned her lesson. She hated getting it off!
In this picture she dumped a whole bottle of sprinkles on the counter and decided to eat them after making a huge mess! If you have ever cleaned up sprinkles, you know how big of a pain they are. I am sure I STILL have sprinkles hiding in my grout and carpet!
These are just a few of the crazy things she has been doing that I actually took pictures of. She is still hating clothes except for her tutus, bathing suits, and leotards. She is constantly still taking off her diaper and especially in bed if we don't duct tape it. When she takes it off, she often pees or poops in her crib and it is always so fun to clean up that mess up! Even though she is crazy and going through these terrible two's, we still love her to death! She makes us laugh all the time and we don't know what we would do without her!

Sunny California!
We are home from our wonderful, quick trip to California. We went with 2 other families, The Todds and Algers, and stayed in Newport. We all have kids pretty much the same ages and they had so much fun together and so did the adults!!We spent Thursday at Laguna Beach. The kids had so much fun playing in the sand and at the park on the beach. It was a beautiful, sunny day, but too chilly for bathing suits. Maddie did, of course, fall down in the water, so she just ran around the beach in her diaper!
Here are Brooke, Jessica, and I on the beach. We ate lunch in the little Beach town and wandered around the shops for a bit too.
That night we went to Fashion Island and shopped around and had some dinner. Here I am with the kids while we were looking at the fish. The next day we went to Disneyland!! This was the first time for our kids and we haven't been for about 6 years, so we were super excited!! Here we are about to enter the main gate!
It was a beautiful day and we didn't have to wait in too many lines. Here is Jess, Avery, Maddie and I waiting in line for Pirates. Tag was afraid of the rides that were in the dark and he really had to warm up to them. Pirates was not his favorite, even though I thought he would love it. I guess he was just scared of the dark and most of the rides at Disney are in the dark. I was so surprised since he is not scared of many things! We were just standing there listening to the band and I looked back and Cruella was snuggling up to Cam, it was hilarious! Needless to say, Tag was not too fond of the characters either! He didn't want to go near some of them!
Jason, Claudia, Ada, and Boston joined us for the day and it was great to see them. Here wer are in line for Peter Pan.
Here we are getting on our first ride, Peter Pan. I was sooo excited and with Tag not loving the dark, he wasn't too excited! He got over it in a bit though, and was loving the rides. His favorite was Star Tours and Toy Story. Cam said he could have just sat on Toy Story all day and see how high of a score he could get!
For some crazy reason, Taggart loves the movie Sleeping Beauty, so when we saw her we snapped a shot with her.
This is Maddie and Cam on Small World. She waved her hands and danced to the music the whole time and LOVED it! I think she liked some of the rides more than Tag did! The kids were all soooo good though. They took naps and slept in their strollers like champs and the adults got in some fun rides! Tag crawled in the stroller no later than 9:00 and just sacked out. I was like, "You can't sleep yet, we haven't seen everything yet!" But we are going back in August, so we will just have to see the rest then.
On Saturday we went to the Santa Monica Peir. We walked around 3rd Street Promenade and had some lunch (Dang Birds!!) and then headed to the beach to play in the sand and fly kites. The kids loved it and it was nice to hang out and people watch.
Maddie could have played in the sand ALL day long!
Here are some the crazy girls and Taggart! The kids we so good and they all got along great! Here there are eating some peeps and posing! Here we are at dinner with the Algers. The Todd's were spending time with some friends, so they had left already and I never got a big group shot of all of us, Bummer!
Overall, it was a fabulous trip and I am missing California all ready! I can't wait to go to Disneyland again.. I must have Disney fever!!
