Zion's Trip

Since Cam has been gone, the Chambers and Senecas were nice enough to let us tag along with them for a quick trip to Zion's. We got up there on Thursday night and checked in and then went swimming. The kids loved the water and were so happy to be able to splash around. We then put all the kids to bed. Finally, after all the kids were asleep (this took forever!) the adults played some games. The next morning we went to a ranch and fed some elk and buffalo. The kids loved seeing the animals up close and personal and Tony almost kissed this buffalo which had the longest tongue we had ever seen! One our way home we stopped at the petting zoo in Virgin and the kids feed the animals some carrots. It was here that Tony got spit on by a llama. He must have something with these animals?? I caught a lizard for Tag and he carried it around with him the entire day. The girls kept telling him to let it go, but apprently he is very attached to this lizard who must be sick because we still have him and he never tries to escape. It was such a fun, quick trip and really helped pass the time while Cam is in Moab. Here are some pics from our adventure.

What a fun little trip! I am glad that you were able to get out and have a good time even though you've been without Cam for a few days. Tag cracks me up in that group picture. He is turning into such a big boy! Wait to be with that lizard, btw. Who would have known that you picked up some of Uncle Larry's mad skills. I'm sure Taggart loves it!

Sorry, I meant to say "way to be", not "wait...." I hate typos. I wish I could change it, uggh!

That looks like a lot more fun than "Horton Hears a Who." Wish I could've stayed and hung out longer.

You STILL have the lizard? He is not dead? Are you feeding him?

Who's husband is sick enough to put his tongue that close to a gross buffalo??? Oh, that would be mine!!! Nice shot, I only wish the buffalo would have turned his head the other way and slimed him! THAT would have served him right! Thanks for hanging out with us this weekend-husband or no husband, we still had a good weeekend.

Don't you love getaways? Especially when the weather was probably so nice! I love Zion's and being outdoors. :) I am glad that you had fun.

That is too funny about the tractor toy! We are hoping that Bobby doesn't break it before the week is up. He still doesn't understand that you don't force the parts to move! As for the Crocs. I love them! His green Crocs had the cloth part too and they have held up so great and wash up nice. I liked this style the best for his age because they stay on his feet better than the traditional style. The only downfall is that there isn't that much of a selection(colors) with this style, but I LOVE the camo ones for little boys. :0 Good luck!

How fun. I don't think I've ever been to Zion's.
That's too bad about your kids being sick. I hate it when that happens. And I was wondering if Cam's parents bought it. A brick wall is going up so I knew it sold. For sure stop by and visit. We do need a girls night or something. I'm all alone now at card club. I feel stupid quitting now.

What a brave girl you are! Kids without husband, can you say SUPERMOM? I'm so glad that you guys got away for a minute to break up the monotony. What fun friends... I would do anything to be in St. George right now, or Zion's, or Cedar City, or anywhere with NO SNOW!!

What a good mom you are, taking your kids on a stroll through the neighborhood. I shouldn't be working 50 hours a week anymore, so maybe I'll be able to join you. And the Cali trip is on. I'm not kidding.

Mandy, you are such a fun mom! Kudos to you on being a single mom on vacation! Remember my Hawaii post....it's never really relaxing doing it all alone, but it's worth it to see how much fun your kids have.

One word....Bermuda. 8 blissful days with no kids....words can't describe how excited I am!

Looks like you had a fun little trip. You must be wonderwomen to venture out with out Cam. I can barely handle a trip to the mall with all three of the kids without pulling out my hair. Sounds like you have some good friends, that is always essential when living away from family. Some of my best memories and times are with my grilfriends from MN and no husbands. I could never be a single mom! I loved the Tag of you and Cam. Your outfits ROCK! Its fun to read your cute blog!

Fun post on Cam and good for you for taking a trip without Cam with friends. I don't even do this to Lake Powell with my family anymore. Big props to you. I just like to be in control a little too much and when Jeff's not there to help I feel like things get a little crazy. Looks like you had a great time though and your kids were happy. Iit s all about them I have to keep reminding myself. We almost were coming to St. George the last week in March, but the doctor Jeff needs to meet with is in A.F. Go figure. We had snow this morning and it showed St. George with flowers and green grass at the temple. So jealous. I think we need a little Vegas trip soon. Our timeshare is about to expire for 2006. I need a little sunshine and a lawn chair right about now. And can I just say your sister Kim is gorgeous. I just blog stalked her and she was always pretty, but she is strikingly beautiful. Anyway--miss you guys. Hope things are well.

Ok, so now MY husband is out of town, and were all alone on Easter! this means major payback.
I now understand your frustration. This alone thing gets old quick! If you are still in for Cali, we are definitely seeing Wicked. (I have a slight obsession with it.)I don't know if you can handle it. I have to admit, I am a fun girl on road trips! lol
