Another Chocoholic?

So lately I have been really annoyed that all of the stores insist on putting candy, toys, and other impulse items in stores eye level to children. Taggart always grabs something and thinks he 'needs' whatever treat it is. Every place I go in to I spend an extra buck or two for an item that Tag opens before I can stop him. At Kinko's the other day, it was some tic tacs and at Targart a bag of Oreos. I don't think he needs a treat at every checkout, but he obviously has outsmarted me and knows that we have to buy it if he opens it. So he had his opened bag of Oreos that we had to go through the check out again to buy. When we got home my purse was sitting on a chair in our Family room. I noticed that Maddie was being VERY quiet, which is never a good thing! I need to add that she has gotten quite mobile lately. She doesn't crawl on all fours, but scoots everywhere and can walk along furniture. She had gotten into my purse and got he bag of Oreos and this was how I found her. No wonder she was soo quiet! So it looks like we have another chocoholic in the family!

Maddie I can sniff out a bag of Oreos anywhere too! Atta girl! She looks so so cute, just like you Mandy, only a lot chubbier. Okay, so I am the same as you, I buy the dang treat for them rather than deal with the tantrum in the checkout line, in my case I can't win any more bacause with 3 I am so freakin outnumbered that I basically concede to everything ( don't know if concede is even a word, just sounded good to me...) anyway, let's just say it gets out of hand, and I pretty much avoid taking them all shopping at the same time..makes for a lot of 7 am wal-mart trips! ugh...

Mandy, Maddie does look just like you---so cute! Don't you love those moments when they are so quiet.--part of you wants to enjoy the moment, but then the motherly instincts take over and you know you better go check things out FAST. I am totaly with you on spending atleast an extra 3 bucks (and that's if I am lucky!!!)on the dang treats. I feel Ali's pain with being outnumbered, and doing what-ever it takes not to cause a bigger scene in the store. I hate check out time--- I end up with so much crap at the check out line-- (who knows how it gets in my basket) Although, I do have a little more control with the kids than my husband. When he is with the kids he spends a lot more than an extra three dollars and comes out swearing up a storm! I sent a x-mas card to your mom's. Did you get it? It would have been fun to catch up on life. I talk to your mom and dad every once in awhile to try to see how you are. Your blog is fun and your family is so cute! I am totaly having a ball reading about all my old friends and their cute kids. Who would have ever thought we would all be talking about our kids and the crazy things they do. It is fun to see you. You look great. We should all get together!!! Check out our blog jaysonandmelissahawsfamily.blogspot

These are the moments when, as the one who has to clean it all up, you want to scream, but they are also the moments that you look back on with fondness. It is a good thing that kids are so darn cute for all the work they put us through! P.S. I hate all of those kid eye level goodies at the cash registers also. You know they do that on purpose...and whoever "they" is is just plain evil! They probably sit and watch all of us mothers (on the security cameras) nearly go insane as they count the money going into their pockets. Evil!

I love that she's sitting there looking at you like, "What, Mom..."
What a little cutie pie. They are getting so smart. That worries me a bit...Is this week a good week for you to have a lunch/play date?

Priceless. She is joining the ranks of the Chocoholics. :) Bobby's thing is M & M's...or as he calls them, "Em's" and they HAVE to be blue. For me..I prefer a big pan of brownies. If it is the peak of PMS...don't be surprised to see me eat the whole pan in one day. I am getting hungry and bloated just thinking about it...

A girls gotta have her chocolate (at least that's what they tell me. Never a chocolate fan personally.) Love that Tag was her little partner in crime. Don't you sometimes wonder what they communicate when they can't? Deep thoughts...any way. Love her look of don't mess with me while I'm eating my cookies mom!!

Geesh Mandy it definitely sounds like you have your hands full with your last few posts! :) It is amazing how it doesn't take kids ANY time to figure out what is tasty and what is not!

But that's great you grab your camera first, THEN clean up the mess.....as crazy as it makes you, it is definitely worth remembering!

Yes, we are on board (literally :) for Bermuda. I think I have got my kid situation all worked out, so it should be so fun! I'm so glad you guys are coming! Now I just have to stop denying that I am going to be in a bathing suit in two months time! Yikes! :)
