Another Chocoholic?

So lately I have been really annoyed that all of the stores insist on putting candy, toys, and other impulse items in stores eye level to children. Taggart always grabs something and thinks he 'needs' whatever treat it is. Every place I go in to I spend an extra buck or two for an item that Tag opens before I can stop him. At Kinko's the other day, it was some tic tacs and at Targart a bag of Oreos. I don't think he needs a treat at every checkout, but he obviously has outsmarted me and knows that we have to buy it if he opens it. So he had his opened bag of Oreos that we had to go through the check out again to buy. When we got home my purse was sitting on a chair in our Family room. I noticed that Maddie was being VERY quiet, which is never a good thing! I need to add that she has gotten quite mobile lately. She doesn't crawl on all fours, but scoots everywhere and can walk along furniture. She had gotten into my purse and got he bag of Oreos and this was how I found her. No wonder she was soo quiet! So it looks like we have another chocoholic in the family!

Bubbles!

Last night I spent most of the night cleaning up Taggart's throw up that was spread from his room to the kitchen since he threw up in his toy basket in his bedroom. WE discovered that he is allergic to cashews last night after a somewhat scary incident. He made it through without a trip to the emergency room, but now we all know to not give him any tree nuts! Anyway, since all I do it clean up Tag's messes, there are no exceptions for this morning. I was bathing and dressing Maddie while Tag was in my tub. I find him wandering down the hall with bubbles covering his whole body. I can hear the jets running in my bathtub and I just know that something is wrong. I walk in to find this!! HOLY BUBBLES! No wonder he got out.. he was drowning in bubbles. Come to find out, he had dumped a whole bottle of shampoo out and had the jets running. For anyone who doesn't know, this makes tons of bubbles. So I have spent the entire morning cleaning up yet another mess that my son has made. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Or am I the only one with a mischevious little boy?

Our Little Sunbeam

Today was Taggart's first day in Sunbeams. He has always hated nursery until the last month or so when we could finally get him to go with a little coaxing. He just turned three and he is the youngest Sunbeam and let's just say that I have been dreading January for this reason. He had just gotten used to Nursery and I was so scared that we would have to do the whole cycle again with Sunbeams. I had to sit with him for a little bit today and then I just left. They said he tried to follow me, but the teacher grabbed him and he sat down. I was shocked! No tears or anything! He stayed the whole time and they said he was so good. I guess I under estimated him because he was such a good boy. He made a little crown in Sunbeams and wanted to wear it during his nap and has been wearing in most of the night. Hopefully next week will go as well and it just wasn't beginner's luck. Cam and I used to teach Sunbeams and I can't believe I have a child old enough to go! Wow.. how time flies!

Christmas Fun 2007

This year we were lucky to spend a whole 10 days up north with friends and family for the Holidays. We had a lot of fun, but were sooooo happy to get home and finally back into the swing of things. We spent most of the holidays travleing between our 2 families- from party to party. On Christmas Eve we went to Temple Square to see the lights. We usually go on a carriage ride, but it was snowing like crazy this year. Here we are at the Joseph Smith Building all bundles up.

Maddie had so much fun walking around. It was really windy and cold and I was worried about her, but she was so happy being carried around in the Baby Bjorn. Isn't she just the cutest thing all bundled up?

Christmas morning was so much fun this year. Taggart finally understood the concept of opening up presents and he just kept wanting to open more. He loved his new horse from Grammy and Granpy. In this picture he looks especially funny riding it without his pants (they were wet from the snow), his cape, and his gloves. We all got a ton of presents and really had a hard time fitting them into our truck. Good thing we have a truck or I don't know what we would have done.

Here Maddie and I are on Christmas morning in our matching pajama pants.

Maddie loved her presents too, although I think she would have been happy enough with the wrapping paper if we would let her eat it! Look at that cheezer! We had a lot of fun and only went to the doctor twice while we were up there. Maddie had an ear infection and didn't want anyone holding her but me. She is better now and we are happy with that. We even spend a couple nights in Bear Lake at the cabin. It was so cold, but Tag had so much fun on the sled, four wheeler, and snowmobiles. All in all it was a very Merry Christmas for us.. but we are sooo happy to be home in our own beds. I still am trying to squezze all the new toys into our house and I am soooo tired of picking up Taggart's train and matchbox cars stuff! I might go crazy! Thanks to everyone for all the small parts! We hope you all had a happy Christmas!

Ayotte Christmas Party

Since we were able to spend so much time this year up north for the holidays, we were lucky enough to go to both of our family parties. The Ayotte party was so fun this year because we rented out a gymnastics gym. We had so much fun jumping on the trampolines and all of the acrobatic equipment and playing dodgeball. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and be able to have a little fun! We also went to Marion's family party. There were almost 100 people there and it was good to see everyone even though Cam doesn't really know half of them. When you have 9 brothers and 1 sister (Marion does) family parties can be pretty crazy! We had a great time though. Sorry that we forgot the camera and don't have any pics. Just imagine a ton of people with us mixed in and that was it!
